After the Quarantine: Practical Tips for Reopening Your City
This webinar is for City managers, Counsel, HR managers, CAOs, Recorders, and other officials in charge of reopening their city governments.
Some city employees have already returned to work. They may find that their workplaces look significantly different than before the quarantine: face masks and other safety gear; temperature checks; new office floorplans for social distancing; altered work schedules to minimize crowding. The legal landscape is also different: New considerations in a COVID-19 context under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, the Oregon Sick Leave Law, and state and federal laws prohibiting retaliation.
These are uncharted waters and cities need to be prepared to handle the “new normal.” The leaders of the employment team at Markowitz Herbold - Laura Salerno Owens and Kyle Busse - will answer frequently asked questions on workplace re-openings, and provide practical tips and policies to help minimize your workplace liabilities.
